Imperial Trooper Battle Pack

The Imperial Trooper Battle Pack, released in 2017 as part of the LEGO Star Wars theme, was designed to provide builders with an affordable way to army-build iconic galactic soldiers. Inspired by the aesthetic of the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the set features a small Imperial combat walker along with four minifigures: two Death Troopers and two Imperial Stormtroopers. The inclusion of these specific figures was intended to satisfy the high demand from fans for more realistic, tactical versions of the Empire's ground forces following the film's theatrical debut.

The design team at LEGO focused on utility and playability, keeping the piece count low to ensure the set remained an accessible entry point for younger collectors. The walker itself draws heavily from the AT-ACT and AT-ST designs seen in the cinematic source material, utilizing a simplified footprint to maintain stability during play. Upon its release, the set was well-received by the community for its value, particularly for the inclusion of the two Death Troopers, which were considered highly desirable additions to any Imperial collection at the time.
