International Space Station Patch

The International Space Station patch, specifically the iteration associated with the assembly and ongoing mission cycles, represents a collaborative effort between the major space agencies involved in the ISS program, including NASA, Roscosmos, JAXA, ESA, and CSA. These patches are designed for flight crews and ground support personnel to commemorate the station's role as a unique microgravity laboratory and a symbol of international cooperation following the end of the Cold War space race.

The design of ISS-related mission patches typically features symbolic representations of the orbital path, the structural components of the station itself, and the flags or emblems of the contributing nations. These designs are often created through a collaborative process between astronauts and graphic artists, aiming to reflect both the scientific objectives of the specific expedition and the collective heritage of human spaceflight. They are regarded by the space community as marks of professional accomplishment and shared mission identity.
