Where it came from
Released in 2023, Izzie and Bunchu the Bunny is a set from the LEGO DreamZzz theme, a franchise built around the concept of dream-based adventures. This specific model depicts the protagonist Izzie alongside her companion, a plush rabbit that has been magically transformed into a larger, articulated warrior figure. The set reflects the theme's core mechanic of building different versions of a creation, allowing fans to construct Bunchu either in a standard pose or as a flying version equipped with wings and rocket thrusters.
The design was developed by the LEGO Group to accompany an animated television series of the same name, intended to capture the fluid, imaginative logic of dreams. By focusing on whimsical, high-fantasy aesthetics, the designers emphasized creative flexibility and character-driven play. Upon its introduction, the line was recognized for its vibrant color palette and unique non-licensed intellectual property, offering a distinct alternative to the company's traditional city or space-themed sets.
