Where it came from
The LEGO Kangaroo (set 40133) was released in 2015 as part of a promotional campaign associated with the Australian market. This small build reflects the tradition of regional-exclusive polybags produced by The LEGO Group to celebrate specific local fauna or cultural landmarks, often distributed through major retail partners or LEGO brand stores in the Oceania region.
The model features a simplified, stylized representation of an Eastern Grey Kangaroo, utilizing basic hinge plates to provide limited articulation for the tail and limbs. While the designer is not publicly credited by name, the set follows the design language of the 'Creator' theme's polybag series, prioritizing a charming, accessible aesthetic that remains a sought-after collectible for those focusing on animal-themed sets.
