Where it came from
The Kitten Felix set, released as part of the Friends product line, was designed to appeal to younger audiences by focusing on themes of animal companionship and care. Developed by the design team to reflect everyday scenarios in the fictional Heartlake City, the set emphasizes gentle, creative play through the inclusion of a small animal figure and simple accessory elements.
Upon its release, the set was received as a straightforward, accessible entry point into the broader Friends universe. Designers aimed for a minimalist aesthetic that prioritized playability and modular integration with larger building sets, ensuring that the piece could easily fit into existing dioramas while maintaining the distinct, bright color palette characteristic of the series.
