Where it came from
This lanyard and pass holder set was produced as part of the official merchandise offerings for the 2012 London Olympic Games. It was designed to serve as a functional accessory for spectators and staff, aligning with the branding guidelines set forth by the International Olympic Committee. The design incorporates the iconic 2012 London logo, utilizing the vibrant, angular aesthetic that defined the games' visual identity.
The item was manufactured to provide a durable and recognizable way to display credentials throughout the various event venues. It reflects the broader industrial design philosophy of the London 2012 organizing committee, which focused on modularity and high-visibility accessibility. Upon its release, it became a common souvenir for attendees, valued for its utility in navigating the complex security and gate systems of the Olympic Park.
