Where it came from
The LEGO CON 2022 T-shirt was produced as a promotional item for the second annual LEGO CON, a virtual fan convention hosted by the LEGO Group to celebrate new set releases and interact with the global community. Released in June 2022, the shirt served as branded merchandise for the online event, which aimed to bring the experience of a physical convention to fans worldwide through live-streamed segments, designer interviews, and exclusive reveals.
The design of the shirt focuses on minimalist branding, featuring the LEGO CON logo centered on a standard-cut garment. It was created to act as a commemorative token for the 2022 iteration of the digital gathering. The reception was primarily centered within the adult fan of LEGO (AFOL) community, where such event-specific apparel is collected as a record of participation in the company's evolving digital outreach strategies.
