Where it came from
The LEGO Factory National Animals set, identified by set number 4002024-1, was produced as a highly exclusive corporate gift for the LEGO Group's employees. These annual holiday sets are not available for retail purchase and are traditionally distributed to staff members as a token of appreciation for their contributions throughout the year. This specific set reflects the company's tradition of creating complex, non-commercial models that highlight the artistry of their in-house design team.
The design of the set focuses on a curated selection of regional animal figures, utilizing sophisticated building techniques typical of LEGO's advanced internal projects. The aesthetic reflects a move toward display-oriented models, prioritizing intricate detail and thematic coherence. Given the limited nature of its distribution, the set is highly regarded within the enthusiast community for its unique production status and the high standard of construction often reserved for company-internal commemorations.
