LEGO Greeting Card

The LEGO Greeting Card, set number 853906-1, was introduced by the LEGO Group as a functional piece of stationery designed to bridge the gap between creative building and personal correspondence. Released as part of an effort to expand their lifestyle and gift-oriented product lines, the item was intended to serve as a customizable, reusable sentiment for builders of all ages. By incorporating a small, buildable surface onto the face of the card, the company leaned into its core philosophy of tactile play, allowing the sender to provide a physical token of appreciation that could be modified or displayed.

The design emphasizes simplicity, featuring a fold-out card structure compatible with standard building bricks, enabling the recipient to attach elements to the front panel. It belongs to a broader category of LEGO-branded novelties, a segment that focuses on utility and decorative desk accessories rather than complex construction. While these greeting cards received little critical press, they are widely recognized by the collector community as a clever entry point for those looking to combine traditional gift-giving with the modularity of the LEGO system.
