Where it came from
The LEGO House Chef, identified as set 40790-1, was created as an exclusive promotional item for the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark. It captures the essence of the venue's unique dining experience, where visitors order their meals through a playful system represented by LEGO bricks, which are then assembled and delivered to the tables by robots. The figure serves as a souvenir of this culinary intersection between the company's roots and modern interactive architecture.
The design of the figure leans into the iconic aesthetic of the LEGO House, featuring a specialized torso print that reflects the uniform worn by the restaurant staff. It is designed to be a charming, minimalist representation of the establishment's character, fitting seamlessly into the broader collection of LEGO House exclusives. It was received by fans and visitors as a thoughtful memento of the destination, balancing the simplicity of a standard minifigure with the specific branding of the Billund-based attraction.
