Where it came from
The LEGO House Tree of Creativity, set 4000024, was released in 2017 as a tribute to the monumental installation located in the center of the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark. The physical sculpture in the building stands over 15 meters tall and is constructed from more than six million standard LEGO bricks, representing the company’s history and the spirit of play. The set was created to allow visitors to capture a miniature version of this iconic architectural feature, which serves as the core of the experience center.
Designed by Steen Sig Andersen, the model aims to replicate the intricate, sprawling branches and the multicolored aesthetic of the original sculpture. Andersen worked to incorporate various micro-scale vignettes within the branches that hint at the history of the LEGO brand, including early wooden toys and classic themes. Upon its debut, the set was exclusively available at the LEGO House retail store, quickly becoming a sought-after memento for visitors and AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO) interested in the company's corporate heritage.
