Where it came from
The LEGO Minifigures Shrek Series 6-pack box, identified by set number 66815-1, emerged as part of the broader licensing collaborations between the LEGO Group and DreamWorks Animation. Released to capitalize on the enduring popularity of the Shrek film franchise, this collection allows enthusiasts to acquire a randomized selection of iconic characters reimagined in the classic LEGO minifigure scale, designed with the distinct aesthetic sensibilities characteristic of the blind-bag series format.
These figures were conceptualized to capture the whimsical charm of the swamp-dwelling protagonist and his companions through specialized molding and high-quality printing. The series received significant attention from adult collectors and casual fans alike, reflecting a strategic move by LEGO to integrate globally recognized pop culture properties into their minifigure-centric product lines, maintaining the hallmark playability and display value expected of the brand.
