Where it came from
The LEGO Note Brick, released under the product number 5007224-1, represents a creative intersection between classic construction play and practical stationery. Produced in collaboration with Chronicle Books, this item was designed to mimic the tactile experience of a standard 2x4 LEGO brick while functioning as a pad of adhesive notes for office or home use. It emerged during a period when the LEGO Group was actively expanding its lifestyle brand into adult-oriented decor and functional desk accessories.
The design draws directly from the iconic geometry of the LEGO system, featuring a structural shape that serves as a playful homage to the building blocks that have defined the brand for decades. It was received as a novelty item aimed at fans who appreciate the aesthetic of the original bricks but desire a utility-focused product. By leveraging the familiar visual language of the modular building system, the note brick captures the brand's commitment to imaginative play while integrating into a professional or creative workspace.
