LEGO Rock Band Promo Key Chain Minifig 2

The LEGO Rock Band Promotional Minifigure key chain was released in 2009 as a tie-in for the video game LEGO Rock Band, a collaboration between TT Games, Traveller's Tales, and Harmonix. The set was distributed primarily as a promotional item at gaming events and through specific retail partnerships to celebrate the intersection of the two brands. It features a unique guitar-wielding minifigure that captures the aesthetic of the game's customizable characters, blending the traditional modular LEGO design with the rock-and-roll iconography central to the game's marketing.

The design of the minifigure centers on a classic punk-rock inspired motif, utilizing a black mohawk, a printed torso with a skull motif, and a miniature electric guitar accessory. It was crafted to appeal to both adult gamers and LEGO collectors who were interested in the game's expanded integration of music and building. Upon its release, the item was received as a niche collectible, valued primarily by completionists who sought to maintain a representative collection of the various promotional materials issued during the brief cross-promotional period of the game's peak popularity.
