Where it came from
The LEGO Truck Show set, numbered 4000022-1, was produced in 2016 as an exclusive promotional item for attendees of the LEGO Inside Tour. The Inside Tour is a limited-access experience offered by the LEGO Group that invites fans to the company's headquarters in Billund, Denmark, to participate in behind-the-scenes workshops and meet with designers. This set serves as a memento of that specific experience, capturing the essence of the traveling roadshows used to promote the brand at various public events.
The design of the set focuses on a transport truck and a modular exhibition trailer that opens to reveal interior displays, reflecting the practical layout of actual promotional mobile units. Because it was an Inside Tour exclusive, the set was never released for general retail, making it a highly specialized item within the LEGO community. It follows the tradition of tour-exclusive sets, which are designed to be recognizable representations of the company's internal operations or history, curated for the small group of enthusiasts who attend the annual event.
