Where it came from
Released in 2010 as part of the Series 2 LEGO Collectible Minifigure line, the Leprechaun was designed to offer a stylized, culturally thematic character within the diverse lineup of the series. This line was introduced to provide fans with unique, blind-bagged figures that expanded upon traditional themes, allowing for more whimsical and specific character designs that did not necessarily fit into established play sets.
The figure features a distinct green coat, top hat, and a unique accessory in the form of a gold-colored pot, reflecting classic folklore depictions of the character. The design emphasized the series' commitment to detailed printing on the torso and accessories, which was well-received by collectors for its charm and the addition of specific molded pieces that added personality to the miniature figure.
