Where it came from
Lester (40308-1) was released by the LEGO Group in 2016 as a promotional set to commemorate the opening of their flagship store in London’s Leicester Square. The figure represents a dapper, brick-built mascot dressed as a British tea-drinking gentleman, complete with a top hat and a Union Jack umbrella, capturing a whimsical interpretation of local British archetypes.
The set was designed as an exclusive limited-edition item for the grand opening event, making it a sought-after collectible for fans of store-exclusive memorabilia. It was received as a charming novelty by the collector community, praised for its unique character design and the distinct packaging that highlighted the specific location of its debut.
