Where it came from
The Lucy plush, released under set number 853880-1, is a collectible character figure produced by The LEGO Group as part of their promotional and merchandise range. It was designed to tie into the 2014 theatrical release of The LEGO Movie, depicting the character Wyldstyle, who is known in the film as Lucy. The plush serves as a soft-goods adaptation of the iconic minifigure, intended to provide fans with a huggable version of the adventurous Master Builder.
The design emphasizes the character's distinct aesthetic, featuring her signature black hoodie, bright pink and teal hair, and determined expression. By transitioning the rigid plastic design of the minifigure into a plush format, the manufacturers aimed to capture the essence of the character while appealing to a younger demographic. It was well-received by fans of the franchise, serving as a functional bridge between the cinematic experience and tangible, comforting merchandise.
