Where it came from
Released in 1991, the Medieval Knights set 6105-1 was a classic example of the small-box promotional sets produced by LEGO during the early 1990s. It was designed to provide an accessible entry point into the popular Castle theme, offering collectors a quick way to bolster their infantry forces with a mounted knight and a foot soldier.
The set features a black knight alongside a crusader-style knight, reflecting the minimalist aesthetic of the era's Castle sets. The design focused on playability and classic molded armor, avoiding complex build techniques in favor of immediate action. It was well-regarded by children of the period for its high value-to-part ratio and remains a nostalgic touchstone for those who grew up building during the height of the Black Knights and Wolfpack sub-themes.
