Where it came from
Released in 2016, Mia's Vet Clinic (10728-1) was part of the LEGO Juniors line, a sub-theme specifically engineered to bridge the transition for younger children moving from DUPLO bricks to the standard system-scale LEGO sets. The set was designed to be age-appropriate for builders aged four to seven, featuring larger, pre-assembled elements that provided a satisfying sense of completion for novice builders while still maintaining the aesthetic standards of the Friends theme.
The set depicts Mia, a central character in the LEGO Friends universe known for her love of animals and outdoor activities, attending to a rabbit and a turtle in a compact, modular clinic. The design team focused on playability and ease of construction, opting for a simplified building process that avoided complex techniques. Upon its release, it was well-received by parents and educators as an effective introductory kit that encouraged spatial reasoning and fine motor skills through guided, accessible play.
