Released in 2012 as a celebratory set for the LEGO Modular Buildings series, the Mini Modulars 10230 set was designed to condense five years of architectural history into a smaller, desk-friendly scale. It features micro-scale versions of the first five modular buildings: Cafe Corner, Market Street, Green Grocer, Fire Brigade, and Grand Emporium. The set was created to appeal to fans who had missed out on the original, retired sets, offering a retrospective of the design evolution that defined the popular creator expert aesthetic.
The design process focused on distilling the complex, larger-scale details of the original buildings into recognizable silhouettes using much smaller pieces.
