Minifigure Wedding Favour Set

Released in 2016, the LEGO Minifigure Wedding Favour Set (40165) was designed as a customizable seasonal gift for couples. It emerged during a period when the LEGO Group was expanding its range of small, affordable sets intended for specific life events or celebrations, moving beyond traditional play-based themes to target adult collectors and gift-givers. The set provided a modular stage and two generic minifigures that owners could personalize with an assortment of hair pieces and facial expressions to represent different couple demographics.

The design focused on versatility, allowing the user to swap hairstyles and skin tones to create a representation of a bride and groom. While it was well-received by the community for its inclusive design and utility as a wedding cake topper or party favor, it was also part of a broader shift in LEGO's marketing strategy toward functional, desk-sized accessories. The set was eventually retired, leaving a legacy as a functional, commemorative piece that highlighted the brand's pivot toward audience-specific gift sets.
