Where it came from
Released in 2016 as part of the Disney Collectible Minifigures Series, this figure represents the patriarch of the Parr family from the Pixar film The Incredibles. Produced by the LEGO Group under a collaborative licensing agreement with Disney, the set was designed to capture the iconic aesthetic of the characters while adhering to the standardized proportions of the minifigure format. The series was created to celebrate decades of Disney and Pixar animation, appealing to both long-time fans of the studio and adult collectors of the LEGO brand.
The character design team focused on translating the specific mid-century modern aesthetic of the film into a small-scale plastic figure, opting for custom molded hair and a detailed printed torso to replicate his superhero costume. Upon release, the series was well-received by the collecting community for its high level of detail and character-accurate printing. It serves as a definitive representation of the character in the LEGO medium, remaining a sought-after piece within the broader Disney collectible ecosystem.
