Where it came from
The Nya Fun Pack, released under the LEGO Dimensions banner in 2016, was designed to integrate the popular Ninjago character into the cross-franchise toys-to-life video game ecosystem. The set includes a minifigure of Nya in her iconic Samurai X armor, a buildable Samurai Mech, and the requisite toy tag that enabled in-game character functionality. By bridging physical LEGO building with digital gameplay, the pack allowed users to unlock specific abilities and story content within the Dimensions platform.
The design of the minifigure and the accompanying mech model drew heavily from the established aesthetic of the Ninjago television series, ensuring consistency for fans of the franchise. It was produced during the peak of the toys-to-life genre, reflecting a design philosophy focused on tactile playability combined with digital interactivity. The set was generally well-received by collectors who valued the inclusion of unique physical builds for characters previously relegated to larger playsets.
