Palace Cinema

The Palace Cinema, released in 2013 as part of the Lego Creator Expert modular buildings series, was designed by Markus Rollbühler. It draws significant inspiration from the golden age of Hollywood cinema architecture, specifically featuring a distinct Art Deco style that mimics the ornate theaters found in early 20th-century urban centers. The model was created to provide a detailed, intricate building experience for adult fans of the brand, emphasizing architectural realism through elements like a tiled sidewalk, decorative brickwork, and a cinematic marquee.

Upon its release, the set was praised for its aesthetic charm and the inclusion of a red carpet, a limousine, and a star-studded cast of minifigures, which helped convey a sense of narrative within the modular street scene. It served as the eighth entry in the modular building collection and was noted for its creative use of parts to simulate movie posters and a projection booth, effectively capturing the nostalgia of vintage cinema houses for collectors and architectural enthusiasts alike.
