Where it came from
The Percival Graves minifigure was released in 2018 as part of the LEGO Minifigures Series 18, which focused exclusively on characters from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. It was designed to capture the likeness of the high-ranking Auror from the 2016 film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, featuring his signature grey overcoat and a dual-sided head print that reflects the character's hidden identity. The design process focused on translating the cinematic costume into the stylized proportions of a minifigure, incorporating specific printed details on the torso to represent the character's tailored formal wear.
Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the franchise due to the rarity of its specific iteration. Because Percival Graves is portrayed as a pivotal character in the film's narrative, collectors sought this piece to complete their Wizarding World displays. Its inclusion in the blind-bagged series meant that it became a sought-after item for those aiming to assemble the full collection of characters featured in the expansion, marking a significant entry for LEGO's collaboration with the Harry Potter universe.
