Where it came from
The Phoenix figure, designated as COMCON021-1, was released as a highly anticipated exclusive for the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. Produced by LEGO, this minifigure depicts Jean Grey in her iconic Dark Phoenix persona, a character integral to the X-Men mythos. It was distributed specifically to attendees through a promotional raffle system at the convention, a common practice for LEGO's high-demand event exclusives during that period.
The design of the figure features a distinct torso print and a double-sided head, capturing the intense look of the character's transformation. As part of a limited convention run, the figure was intended as a rare collectible for dedicated fans of the Marvel theme. Its design reflects the classic comic book aesthetic, and it remains a sought-after piece within the secondary market due to its rarity and the enduring popularity of the X-Men franchise.
