Where it came from
The 852217-1 Plush Bunny with Duplo Bricks was released by the LEGO Group in 2008 as part of a seasonal promotional effort. Designed to bridge the gap between soft toys and construction play, the set featured a plush rabbit intended for younger children, paired with a small selection of basic Duplo bricks to encourage tactile development and creative building.
The item emerged during a period when LEGO was experimenting with cross-category products to appeal to the preschool demographic. The design was straightforward and functional, focusing on safety and durability for its target age range. While it remains a niche curiosity for adult collectors of LEGO merchandise, it was generally well-received at the time as an accessible, gift-oriented item that successfully integrated traditional plush play with the iconic Duplo building system.
