Where it came from
Released in 2019 as a promotional polybag set, the Racing Car (40328-1) was designed to offer an accessible, bite-sized building experience for fans of vehicle-themed construction sets. Its creation aligns with the manufacturer's long-standing tradition of distributing small, specialized models through retail promotions or events, serving as an entry point for hobbyists interested in micro-scale automotive design.
The model features a streamlined aesthetic typical of classic open-wheel racing vehicles, utilizing a modest piece count to achieve a recognizable silhouette. While not part of a major licensed franchise, the design emphasizes playability and structural simplicity, reflecting the brand’s focus on versatile building systems that allow for quick assembly and customization.
