Where it came from
The Rangoli set, released under the reference number 6557591-1, was introduced as part of a cultural initiative to celebrate traditional Indian art forms through modular construction. Inspired by the intricate patterns created during Diwali, the design aims to replicate the geometric symmetry and vibrant aesthetics of authentic sand or colored powder floor art. The set focuses on accessibility and decorative appeal, intended to serve as both a creative project and a centerpiece for festive occasions.
The design prioritizes versatility, allowing builders to arrange the modular components into various traditional motifs. By utilizing a specific palette that mirrors the pigments typically found in rangoli powders, the set captures the spirit of community craftsmanship. Upon its release, it was well-received by those interested in global cultural representation, praised for its thoughtful interpretation of a temporary art form into a permanent, displayable format.
