Where it came from
The Rascus & Jayko pen was released as part of a promotional stationery line associated with the Knights' Kingdom II series, a popular medieval-fantasy theme produced by the LEGO Group in the mid-2000s. These writing instruments were designed to capitalize on the success of the toy line, featuring molded figurine toppers of the heroic knights Rascus and Jayko to appeal to younger fans who engaged with the accompanying comics and animated content.
The design of these pens focused on combining utility with character-driven collectibles. By incorporating the distinct armor styles of the two knights, the manufacturers intended to create a tactile connection between the stationary and the central characters of the narrative. While intended primarily as functional school supplies, they were widely received by the fan base as secondary display pieces for those collecting the broader Knights' Kingdom memorabilia.
