Where it came from
Richie, identified by the set number 892068-1, is a minifigure character released in 2020 as part of the Lego Ninjago theme. The character originates from the 'Prime Empire' story arc, which introduced a neon-drenched, video-game-inspired aesthetic to the long-running Ninjago series. Richie serves as a 'Rat Pack' henchman for the digital antagonist Unagami, reflecting the theme's creative exploration of virtual worlds and glitch-based character designs.
The design of the figure leans heavily into the punk-influenced, arcade-cabinet aesthetic of the Prime Empire subtheme. It features a unique head mold depicting a humanoid rat with distinct facial markings, paired with stylized urban attire that matches the game-within-a-show concept. As an antagonist unit, the design was intended to provide a memorable, slightly chaotic visual presence on the battlefield, and it was generally well-received by fans for its unconventional mold and thematic cohesion with the digital environment.
