Speed Champions Bundle 2 in 1

The LEGO Speed Champions 66647-1 bundle was released as a promotional set, typically distributed through major retailers as a value-added package. It reflects the broader strategy of the Speed Champions line, which debuted in 2015 to bridge the gap between pure display models and functional playsets, allowing builders to construct highly detailed, minifigure-scale representations of iconic licensed automobiles.

The bundle comprises two distinct vehicles, the 76895 Ferrari F8 Tributo and the 76896 Nissan GT-R NISMO, both of which marked a significant design evolution for the theme. Moving from a six-stud wide chassis to an eight-stud width, the designers were able to incorporate sophisticated curves and technical assembly methods that more accurately mirrored the aerodynamics of the real-world supercars, a transition that was largely praised by the adult collector community for its increased aesthetic fidelity.
