Where it came from
Released in 2018 as part of the Lego Friends theme, the Spinning Brushes Car Wash (41350) was designed to expand the playability of the Heartlake City environment. The set captures the modern aesthetic of the Friends line, emphasizing vibrant color palettes and relatable, everyday service locations that allow for roleplay centered on vehicle care and maintenance.
The design focuses on the functional aspect of the spinning car wash mechanism, a common play feature in the Friends series intended to provide tactile engagement. It includes mini-doll figures Mia and Zack along with a buildable go-kart, reflecting the themes of auto-racing and mechanical play prevalent in the wider Lego Friends sub-themes of that year. The set was generally well-received by fans for its compact footprint and the inclusion of useful service-station accessories.
