Stena Line Ferry

The Stena Line Ferry, released under set number 1548-1, is a promotional model produced by Lego for the Swedish ferry operator Stena Line. It originated during a period when Lego frequently partnered with corporate brands to create bespoke promotional sets, often sold exclusively through the partner company's retail channels or as travel incentives. The design reflects the mid-1990s aesthetic of Lego's system-based sets, emphasizing functional, blocky maritime silhouettes that captured the recognizable livery and branding of the ferry company of the time.

The model was designed to mirror the actual vessels operated by Stena Line, featuring the company’s signature blue and white color scheme. While the specific designer remains uncredited—as is typical for promotional corporate collaborations from this era—the set follows the classic Lego tradition of simplifying complex naval architecture into a recognizable, approachable toy. It was primarily received as a collectible memento for maritime enthusiasts and Lego collectors, functioning as a tangible piece of brand advertising rather than a standard commercial release found in toy stores.
