Steve with Creeper and TNT

The LEGO Minecraft set 662502-1 is a bundled collection released to bring the core elements of the digital sandbox experience into a physical format. As part of the broader LEGO Minecraft theme, which launched in 2012 following a successful campaign on LEGO CUUSOO, this set was designed to capture the iconic aesthetic of the game's blocky, pixelated world. It represents the collaborative effort between LEGO designers and Mojang to ensure that the translating process from voxel-based graphics to ABS plastic bricks remained faithful to the spirit of creative building and survival.

This specific configuration features Steve, the game's default protagonist, alongside a Creeper and a TNT block, serving as an accessible entry point into the theme. The design emphasizes modularity, allowing builders to rearrange the landscape just as they would mine or build in the virtual game. Upon release, the set was well-received by fans of both the game and LEGO for its ability to distill the essential Minecraft gameplay loop of exploration and hazard avoidance into a compact, displayable playset.
