Where it came from
The Castle of Morcia, released in 2004 under the Knights' Kingdom II theme, served as the central fortress for the line's overarching narrative. Set within the fictional realm of Morcia, the castle was designed to represent the bastion of the good knights against the forces of Vladek. It features a modular structure that allows for various configurations, reflecting the thematic emphasis on competitive play and story-driven building common to the era.
The design of the set focuses on a rugged, fortified aesthetic, utilizing grey masonry bricks and signature dark blue accents to denote the royal allegiance. As a flagship piece of the Knights' Kingdom II series, it received attention for its inclusion of mechanical features, such as a drawbridge and hidden traps, which were intended to enhance the interactive quality of the build. Critics and fans of the time noted its imposing silhouette and its role as the primary backdrop for the series' character-led promotional media.
