Where it came from
The Joker Minifigure Plush (853660-1) was released by the LEGO Group around 2017, coinciding with the promotional push for The LEGO Batman Movie. It was designed as a soft, oversized interpretation of the classic Joker minifigure, intended to bridge the gap between traditional LEGO play and plush toy accessibility for younger children or collectors seeking stylized memorabilia.
The design draws directly from the aesthetic established by the film's character lead, with the plush retaining the iconic printed features and hair mold profile of the plastic minifigure while utilizing high-quality fabric construction. It was received as a functional novelty item, marking a shift for the brand as it expanded its merchandise beyond building sets into lifestyle and lifestyle-integrated soft goods.
