Where it came from
The Vision minifigure was released in 2021 as part of the Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigure Series, a blind-bag set featuring characters from Disney+ original series. This specific iteration represents the character as seen in WandaVision, capturing the unique aesthetic of the show's suburban setting and its transition between television eras. The design team focused on the intricate textures of his suit and the signature yellow-and-green color palette, utilizing dual-molded arms to accurately portray the character's distinct appearance.
The series was developed to celebrate the expanded Marvel Cinematic Universe, with each minifigure accompanied by specialized accessories to reflect character-specific moments. The Vision included a computer terminal and a printed 1x2 tile representing the 'Hex' energy, highlighting the series' narrative focus on his synthetic nature and domestic life. Upon release, the set was praised by collectors for its high level of detail, particularly the intricate printing on the legs and torso which remains a hallmark of modern LEGO production.
