Where it came from
Thinking with Lego, set number 15102-1, was produced in 2013 as an internal educational tool for employees and partners of the Lego Group. It was developed to foster creative problem-solving and communication skills within the workplace, aligning with the company's long-standing 'Lego Serious Play' methodology. The set serves as a tangible embodiment of the philosophy that physical construction can facilitate abstract thinking and collaborative discourse in professional environments.
The design of the set is intentionally minimalist, consisting of a curated selection of standard bricks intended to strip away the complexity of traditional building sets. By providing a neutral palette of components, the design aims to reduce distraction and encourage participants to focus on the process of metaphor-building. Upon its limited release, it was regarded as a specialized corporate training resource rather than a consumer toy, emphasizing functional utility over the aesthetic playability typically associated with the brand.
