Where it came from
The Trauma Team set, identified by number 1896-1, was released as part of the promotional branding associated with the Cyberpunk 2077 franchise. Produced to capture the aesthetic of the game's high-stakes medical emergency response units, the set serves as a tangible extension of the dystopian corporate-driven world depicted in CD Projekt Red’s narrative. It was designed to appeal to collectors and fans of the tabletop and video game source material, reflecting the brutalist and utilitarian visual language inherent to the Cyberpunk universe.
The design of the set focuses on the iconic Trauma Team flight suit and medical gear, prioritizing a clinical yet aggressive aesthetic. By translating these digital concepts into a physical format, the developers aimed to ground the fictional corporation's presence in the real world. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a niche collectible for franchise enthusiasts, valued more for its thematic accuracy and role in immersive fan experiences than for broad mass-market appeal.
