Where it came from
The Vampire and Bat set, released under the seasonal theme in 2016, was designed as a festive display piece for the Halloween season. As part of a series of character-based vignettes, it highlights a playful approach to seasonal holiday decor, utilizing a compact build to capture the classic aesthetic of a Gothic vampire and his companion creature. The design focuses on expressive facial features and articulated limbs, reflecting a shift toward more character-driven small builds during that period.
Designed within the internal creative team, the set was intended to be an accessible, low-cost purchase for holiday shoppers and adult fans looking for desk-sized seasonal decorations. Upon its release, it was received positively by the community for its charm and the effective use of a relatively low piece count to convey recognizable silhouettes. It remains a notable example of the brand's mid-2010s strategy of producing themed, limited-run seasonal builds.
