Where it came from
Released in 2013 as part of the LEGO Legends of Chima theme, the Wakz' Pack Tracker (set 70004-1) was designed to introduce the Wolf Tribe into the narrative-driven world of Chima. This vehicle reflects the aggressive, scavenging nature of the wolf characters, utilizing a dark color palette of blues and greys accented with bone-like elements to emphasize the tribe's predatory aesthetic.
The set was developed during a period when LEGO was experimenting with deep lore integration, pairing modular vehicle designs with serialized storytelling. It features a unique transformation gimmick where the vehicle can split into a smaller bike and a turret, a design choice intended to maximize playability and reflect the agile, pack-based combat style of the Wolf characters in the accompanying animated series.
