Where it came from
The Year of the Sheep set, released in 2015, is part of a recurring series of seasonal promotional items designed to commemorate the Chinese zodiac. Produced during a period when the brand was significantly expanding its reach within the Asian market, this set served as a limited-availability gift-with-purchase, intended to align the brand with traditional lunar celebrations while offering a stylized, brick-built interpretation of the zodiac animal.
The model was designed to capture the essence of the sheep through a minimalist yet expressive aesthetic, utilizing a modest piece count to achieve a recognizable silhouette. Like other entries in this series, it was received primarily as a collectible novelty for seasonal enthusiasts, marking a period in the manufacturer's history where they began integrating culturally specific commemorative sets into their broader promotional calendar.
