Provenance

Where it came from

Pete, numbered 14 in the Illumineer's Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue set, was released as part of the Disney Lorcana trading card game's cooperative expansion. The card was designed to function within the specific mechanics of the 'The Great Hunny Rescue' scenario, where players work together to thwart the titular character's interference in the Hundred Acre Wood. As a specialized release, this card integrates the broader Lorcana art direction with the thematic requirements of a structured, story-driven gameplay experience.

The character design maintains the classic, blustery aesthetic associated with Pete, a long-standing antagonist in the Disney canon. By placing him as an obstacle within the Great Hunny Rescue, the designers aimed to provide a tactical challenge that reflects his traditional role as a disruptive force. The card is treated as a special rarity to denote its unique utility and narrative importance within the cooperative play environment, distinguishing it from standard base-set character cards.
