Uproot

Uproot is an action card featured in the Illumineer's Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue, a cooperative expansion for the Disney Lorcana trading card game released in 2024. Designed by Ravensburger, this set was crafted to offer a narrative-driven gameplay experience where players work together against a specific objective, moving away from the standard competitive format. The card's mechanics reflect the theme of the Great Hunny Rescue, providing players with strategic options to manipulate the board state in line with the set's unique cooperative goals.

The artistic direction for Lorcana cards is led by a team of professional illustrators who maintain the iconic visual language of Disney characters while adapting them to the game's distinct aesthetic. Uproot, like other cards in this specific quest set, was developed to balance thematic storytelling with functional gameplay. Upon release, the set was well-received by the player community for introducing a new way to engage with the collection, emphasizing collaborative play over traditional player-versus-player dueling.
