Hall of Echoes // Hall of Echoes

Hall of Echoes was released as part of the Reality Fracture Art Series, a collection focused on experimental interpretations of iconic locations within the game’s multiverse. These cards were produced to highlight the aesthetic depth of the setting, moving away from traditional mechanical gameplay to prioritize immersive environmental storytelling. The design team sought to evoke a sense of displacement and timelessness, utilizing high-contrast, ethereal artwork to represent the titular location.

The illustrations for this series were commissioned to push the boundaries of the established visual style, opting for a surrealist approach that distanced the imagery from the franchise's typical epic fantasy tropes. Upon release, the series was well-received by collectors who appreciated the departure into more abstract themes. The choice of muted, haunting color palettes served to emphasize the concept of an echo, reinforcing the card's narrative identity as a lingering remnant of a forgotten reality.
