Where it came from
This work originated as a series of illustrative vignettes by the artist Fukuroumori, which gained traction through social media, specifically Twitter, where the author utilized the platform's engagement mechanisms to solicit prompts from followers. The title, translating roughly to 'Non-straight girls who don't get along kiss for one second per 1 Retweet,' reflects a specific subgenre of short-form digital manga that emphasizes immediate, episodic character interactions and rapid-fire visual storytelling.
The design philosophy behind the series relies on a trope-heavy approach to character dynamics, focusing on the friction between protagonists to drive the narrative. By centering the action on a singular, recurring act—the 'one-second kiss'—Fukuroumori emphasizes brevity and stylistic consistency. Upon its transition from web-based posts to a compiled print volume, the work was received as a lighthearted contribution to the yuri genre, appreciated for its accessible art style and the interactive nature of its creation process.
