Ah! My Goddess, known in Japan as Oh My Goddess!, first appeared in the seinen magazine Afternoon in 1988. Created by Kousuke Fujishima, the series emerged during a period of rising interest in supernatural romantic comedies. The narrative follows Keiichi Morisato, an ordinary college student who accidentally summons Belldandy, a goddess who elects to stay by his side permanently. The series became a cornerstone of the genre, noted for its blend of gentle humor, slice-of-life elements, and intricate mechanical detail.
