Aigan Kitty

Aigan Kitty is a manga series created by Mishima Kazuhiko, a prominent figure in the Boys' Love genre known for a distinctive, slightly whimsical art style. The series emerged from the dense landscape of Japanese seinen and BL anthologies during the late 20th century, a time when manga publishers were exploring more experimental and character-focused narratives. The work fits into the slice-of-life subgenre, utilizing anthropomorphic or animal-themed motifs to frame its gentle, humorous interactions.

The design of the series centers on Mishima’s recognizable character work, which emphasizes soft line art and expressive, rounded features intended to evoke endearment from the reader. The author focused on creating a cozy, low-stakes environment, a hallmark of their broader bibliography. While it is considered a niche title within the vast breadth of Mishima's career, it remains well-regarded by collectors of the artist's specific aesthetic, serving as a testament to the creator's ability to balance trope-heavy genre requirements with a unique, affectionate touch.
